Homelessness Strategy

Are you homelessness or being threatened with homelessness?

The Council is about to review its Homelessness Strategy and would like to better understand your experience of being homelessness or threatened with homelessness – this will help the Council and its Partners work together more effectively in the future.

If you would like to help please answer as many questions as you can in our survey (use this link or copy and paste https://www.netigate.se/a/s.aspx?s=660907X151931297X98202 into your browser).

We very much appreciate your taking the time to do this. The survey will be open until the end of January 2019.

“We will take every opportunity to prevent homelessness. Where we fail to do so, people will have a response that means that sleeping rough is no longer an option”

Every local authority is required to have a strategy in place to deal with homelessness within its area. The Homelessness Strategy sets out Cornwall’s vision and priorities to tackle homelessness over the next five years. It will be delivered in partnership with a range of agencies across Cornwall.

The aim of the strategy is to deliver improving services to anyone who is genuinely homeless or threatened with homelessness in Cornwall. This is regardless of whether or not they are owed the main statutory (legal) homelessness duty.

The Homelessness Strategy has a strong focus on early intervention and the prevention of homelessness.
