Planned maintenance
The Planned Maintenance section of our web site covers gas and oil appliances servicing, electrical safety checks and making homes safer.
Planned Maintenance is repairs or replacement works carried out to more than one property annually. An example would be the annual safety check for gas and oil appliances owned by the Council or the exterior painting of your home on a five year cycle.
Programmed Improvements
Some homes may not need all of the programmed works planned for your estate. For example, if your kitchen was renewed recently during the void process, we may only need to update your bathroom or fit central heating.
Areas covered under the Planned and Programmed Maintenance team are:
- Installing central heating
- Installing double glazing
- Kitchen and bathroom improvements
- Re-wiring
- Re-roofing
- Annual servicing of gas heating appliances
- Installing and maintaining smoke alarms
- External decoration
- Major structural repairs
