We provide 66 pitches for travellers and a range of landlord services. In addition to site management services, Cornwall Housing provides other Gypsy and Traveller services to Cornwall Council. This includes assessing any unauthorised encampments in Cornwall on Council owned land (e.g. car parks) and reporting back to Cornwall Council. Cornwall Housing also manages the South Treviddo Transit site, providing provision for short term stays for those travelling as part of their heritage.
The sites are managed and maintained by Cornwall Housing and applications should be made through Homechoice.
The South Treviddo transit site is located on the A38 two miles north of Liskeard just off of the junction for Looe. The site can accommodate 15 caravans depending on the size of each unit and the number of accompanying vehicles. Prior to admission, all applicants are required to provide verifiable identification and a refundable deposit in order to ensure fair compliance with the Site License and Rules.
Yes. Anyone of Gypsy and Traveller Heritage occupying the transit site will be required to pay a security deposit of £100 payable in advance. In addition to this there is also a weekly charge for electricity and water. Those occupying the transit site will also be required to sign an agreement prior to occupation to adhere to the terms and conditions of occupation.
