Join your local Genie Hub Community Open Day

Cornwall Housing and Service Robotics are welcoming everyone to attend their Genie Hub Community Open Days.

The innovative Genie Hub project enables residents living in sheltered housing to use technology to help maintain their independence.

Residents living in sheltered housing, friends and family, social care professionals, volunteers, GP surgeries and anyone that would like to be involved in the project are invited to attend.

By joining the Community Open Days, attendees can see a hub in action. They can chat with Cornwall Housing staff and other residents about how they are using technology to enable people to interact with friends and family, housing support and their care and support network.

Nyree Laugharne, Independent Living Services Manager at Cornwall Housing, said: “We are always looking at different ways of doing things, and our new Genie Hubs are definitely different!

By using unique software and robotics functions, we are tackling huge issues such as loneliness and isolation, digital inclusion and community engagement, and we would like everyone to be a part of this.”

Join one of the Genie Hub Community Open Days and be part of the future for better care quality. You can reserve your space using the link on the Cornwall Housing website at: www.cornwallhousing.org.uk/geniehub
