Residents at Albion Court in Torpoint came together to celebrate VE Day with a lovely afternoon of decorations, good company and, of course, cream teas!
The communal lounge was transformed with red, white and blue flags, banners, and tablecloths, setting the scene for the special day. Residents gathered to watch the memorial service from Westminster Abbey on the big screen, sharing stories and enjoying the sense of community.
No cream tea would be complete without the great debate* - should the cream go on top of the jam or underneath? Either way, everyone tucked in and enjoyed the treat. And for those unable to make it down to the lounge, fresh cream scones were hand-delivered so no one missed out.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event extra special.
P.S. It's jam first of course!
