Christmas spirit hit a high note at our Independent Living Schemes this month, as our Engagement team hosted festive sing-alongs to spread some holiday cheer to our residents.
At two of our Independent Living Schemes in Torpoint and St Agnes, residents were treated to “Singing for the Soul” sessions - a trip down memory lane through decades of music, with a Christmas twist.
Thanks to generous donations from our procurement contractor, EEM, tenants sang along while enjoying mince pies, cakes, and other delicious treats.
The festive fun continued in Wadebridge and Polperro, where our Engagement team were joined by colleagues from our Customer Service, Finance, Area Housing and Estate Ranger teams, to spread holiday cheer dreckly to residents' doors.
Armed with selection boxes paid for by EEM, mince pies donated by Tesco Wadebridge and some classic Christmas carols, the teams visited homes, sharing smiles, snacks and songs.
The highlight of the day came when the team passed St Breock Care Home.
Spontaneously stopping in the garden pathway, they broke into carols, serenading residents who came to their doors and windows to listen.
One resident shared that the carol singing, coupled with our Estate Rangers’ help clearing her paths, had “truly made her Christmas special.”
We hope we brought some festive joy to our neighbourhoods. Wishing all of our residents a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
