Coffee morning brings community together in Polruan

Polruan Village Hall was buzzing with conversation this week, as around 20 people came together for a coffee morning.

The gathering, held from 10am to midday, saw a lovely mix of residents and tenants sharing tea, coffee and plenty of good company.

Those attending were introduced to Richard Lewis, our new housing officer for the area, who was warmly welcomed into the community. The event was also joined by Cllr. Jim Candy and local police representatives, who spent time chatting with residents and listening to their thoughts.

A particularly touching moment came when flowers were presented to Neighbourhood Housing Officer, Paula Harripersad, as a thank-you for her dedication to the area. Paula shared the news that she would no longer be looking after this patch, as her responsibilities are changing. She expressed her sadness at saying goodbye, reflecting on the strong connections she has built with residents over the years and thanked everyone for their kindness and support.

The coffee morning was not only a chance to meet new faces but also a celebration of the friendships and community spirit that continue to thrive in Polruan.
