Qualified Capital Surveyor

Base: Hybrid – Office / Home / Site / Community
Location: Chy Trevail, Bodmin, PL31 2FR
Salary: £42,053
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the role

We’re looking for a qualified experienced Surveyor with experience of repairs and maintenance, and contractor management to join the team.  If you’re after a challenge and a change, where you can really make a difference, then we’ve got a home for you at Cornwall Housing. 

The duties of this role are to: 

  • Participate in contract meetings and contract briefings
  • Manage a range of contractors, ensuring they deliver in accordance with their contract and KPI's. 
  • Manage external relationships with key stakeholders, such as Local Authorities and suppliers, that builds trust and confidence in the Homes and Investment Team.
  • Provide regular and professional communication and liaison with customers and key stakeholders in relation to works instructed and managed by the service

About you

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum surveying qualification, BSc (Building Surveying or equivalent) & membership of a relevant professional body is desirable e.g. RICS, CIOB etc
  • Extensive experience of surveying and specific experience of Planned Maintenance, preferably within a social housing context. 
  • A successful record of managing an extensive, complex and varying caseload, with projects from inception to completion
  • Demonstrable experience and skills managing customer relationships to ensure a high level of customer care and satisfaction

Mechanical and Electrical Surveyor

Base: Hybrid – Office / Home / Site / Community
Location: Chy Trevail, Bodmin, PL31 2FR
Salary: £47,149
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term – 6 months (Secondment considered for current employees)

 

About the role

We are looking for an organised and proactive M&E Supervisor to plan, co-ordinate and supervise the operational delivery of our compliance services. You will play a critical role in ensuring Cornwall Housing meets all safety, compliance and performance requirements across our homes and buildings.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Management and supervision of compliance services related to:

  • Landlord electrical safety in tenant homes
  • Heating servicing and breakdown management
  • Passenger Lifts and LOLER inspections
  • Door Entry Systems and other specialist equipment
  • Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of staff, customers and contractors at all times
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, contract requirements, standards, and performance objectives

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Qualifications and experience in a Mechanical (Gas, HETAS, Renewables) or Electrical discipline
  • A relevant compliance qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional body
  • Strong contractor management and operational performance monitoring experience
