Environmental Compliance Manager
Salary: £49,335 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid (Office base: Chy Trevail, Bodmin, PL31 2FR)
We’re passionate about delivering quality homes and services to the communities of Cornwall. We are now looking for an experienced environmental professional to join us as our Environmental Compliance Manager.
About the role
In this vital role, you'll ensure we meet all statutory and non-statutory environmental obligations, driving continual improvement and sustainable practices across our services, works, and projects. You'll be the champion for environmental best practice, supporting colleagues at every level with the knowledge and guidance they need.
What you'll be doing:
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, standards and best practices
Assess and manage environmental impacts and opportunities across our services
Maintain, develop and report on environmental performance data to drive improvements
Lead on environmental awareness, training and guidance for staff
Manage projects that embed robust and sustainable environmental practices
About you:
You’ll be a passionate environmental professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will also have:
Expert knowledge of environmental legislation and wastewater regulations
Proven project management experience delivering major capital projects
A positive, proactive approach to change management and sustainability
Strong communication skills to advocate for environmental responsibility across the organisation
