Tregurra Park Truro Regeneration Project

Cornwall Housing, working in partnership with Truro City Council, Cornwall Council, Developer Mei Loci and a huge steer from the local community, has completed the first phase of its project to regenerate Tregurra Park in Truro.

A brand-new footpath completes the first stage of the park’s redevelopment. The next phase will include outdoor gym equipment, installed by Truro City Council, alongside new children’s play equipment, sustainable shrub beds and picnic benches. Cornwall Housing will be looking to work with local volunteer groups to help plant shrubs and trees in the park this coming Autumn.

Cornwall Housing’s capital estate regeneration budget, together with £75,000 of Section 106 money has been used to fund the project.

Alastair Spencer, Neighbourhood Services Manager at Cornwall Housing, commented: “We are delighted with the new footpath, and it has all been completed to an excellent standard by Cormac. During my visit I chatted to local residents. Many said how happy they were to be able to walk around the park with their dogs and pushchairs, without getting wet feet from the grass. The area is now much more accessible. It is great to get resident feedback and see the positive impacts we are having on communities.”
