Engaging with residents about Fire Safety

We’re out and about across Cornwall in March, discussing all things fire safety with our residents

As part of our commitment to raising fire safety awareness in the community, our Communication & Engagement and Fire Safety teams have been working together to hold coffee mornings and start fire safety discussions with residents.

Evacuation procedures, our ‘Stay Put’ advice, and the importance of keeping fire doors closed are the key topics being discussed with residents who live in flats with communal areas. Launceston, Falmouth, Truro, Camelford, and Saltash are just some of the areas the teams are covering.

Alongside the coffee mornings, the teams are also conducting door knocks to reach even more residents, giving out our latest ‘Stay Put’ advice leaflets.

A big thank you to all the residents that have taken part in our discussions so far, and to both our teams for working hard to speak to as many people as possible!

If you'd like to find out more online, you can read our Fire Safety guidance on our website.

Remember to report any fire safety faults to us immediately by calling 0300 1234 161.
