Residents have come together to form a new committee at Wyndhurst Orchard in Wadebridge.
The new Tenants and Residents Committee is made up of 11 Wyndhurst Orchard residents, each looking to make a difference to their community.
Cornwall Housing’s Communication & Engagement team arranged a Meeting Skills training session with the residents to help kick start the committee. The training involved team building activities, discussions around committee roles, and offered tips on how to keep other residents informed and involved.
Frankie Addey, Communication & Engagement Officer at Cornwall Housing, said: “If residents would like to be part of a more proactive group in their community and have people who would like to take on committee roles, it’s a great idea to form a Tenants and Residents Committee. A constituted group is ideal if they want to apply for community grants or have a community project idea.”
