Award-winning Property and Construction Consultancy, Ridge, has granted Cornwall Housing £2,500 to support training for Cornwall Housing’s involved tenants.
The grant was awarded to Cornwall Housing by Ridge’s Social Value Fund. This aims to deliver social value to local communities by making significant contributions to jobs, apprenticeships, services, support, investment, and the environment.
This funding has already enabled two members of Cornwall Housing’s Tenant Scrutiny Panel to attend the National Tenant Scrutiny Conference in Loughborough.
Richard, Chair of the Cornwall Housing Tenant Scrutiny Panel, commented: “Attending the conference helped us learn and pass on what's new in the world of Scrutiny. This will help us make Cornwall Housing a leader in the field for the people of Cornwall and gain the best services for its tenants.”
Shane, Tenant Scrutiny Panel member, said: “Thank you to Ridge for funding us to be able to attend this year’s Scrutiny conference. The conference allows us to learn and keep up to date with what other providers are doing within Scrutiny, helping us to learn and grow.”
Ridge is also working with Cornwall Housing to conduct Stock Condition Surveys, which involves assessing the condition of Cornwall Housing managed properties. This information will help decide Cornwall Housing’s planned works program.
