Cornwall Housing has published its new Business Plan for 2026 - 2030, setting out how it will deliver safer homes, stronger communities and improved services for residents.
The plan outlines a clear programme of investment and transformation, focused on delivering high-quality, resident-centred housing services over the next four years.
At the heart of the plan are five key priorities: Solid Basics, Safe Homes, Right Culture, Knowing Our Residents and Working Smarter. Together, these will drive improvements across all areas of the organisation - from repairs and safety to customer service and community engagement.
A significant programme of investment will see around £40 million invested in homes over the next four years, improving property conditions, tackling damp and mould, and ensuring homes are safe, warm and efficient.
• Delivering 100% compliance in safety programmes and completing all outstanding fire safety works
• Introducing a resident-driven repairs service, with most repairs completed within 28 days
• Ensuring at least 95% of homes meet the Decent Homes Standard by 2030
• Reducing empty homes and improving re-let times
• Strengthening resident engagement to shape services and decisions
Alongside investment in homes, Cornwall Housing will transform how it works - improving systems, reducing duplication and ensuring services are built around better understanding of residents’ needs.
The plan also places strong emphasis on organisational culture, with a focus on customer service standards, staff well-being and delivering services that reflect the expectations of residents and communities.
As the delivery arm of Cornwall Council’s Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Business Plan, Cornwall Housing will continue to align its work with council priorities, ensuring services are shaped by local need and resident insight .
