Residents help shape improvements to damp and mould services

Earlier this month, residents came together with Repairs Managers from Cornwall Housing for our first Scrutiny Bootcamp.

This was a brilliant opportunity to learn about changes to our damp mould and condensation service brought in since Awaab’s Law was introduced last year.

During the session, residents heard from colleagues about how the service has evolved, reviewed feedback from customers who have reported damp and mould and worked together to identify themes and areas for further improvement.

The group developed a series of recommendations which will now be considered by the Repairs team as part of ongoing service improvement work.

The final scrutiny report and resulting action plan will be published on our website, helping residents see how their feedback influences the services we provide.

It was a long but very productive day. Everyone who attended worked their socks off to help ensure a good, fair, accessible and efficient service for Cornwall Housing. Thank you to everyone who took part.
