Cornwall Housing’s Independent and Supported Living Service supports older people and vulnerable residents living in supported living and older persons’ housing schemes across Cornwall.
Our service focuses on providing housing support, promoting independence, and improving wellbeing, helping residents to live safely and confidently in their own homes.

- Hendra Parc, Liskeard – Supported housing for residents with an assessed learning disability (on-site support provided alongside Cornwall Housing services)
- Pellymounter Road, St Austell – Supported housing for residents with an assessed learning disability (on-site support provided alongside Cornwall Housing services)
North East
- Anvil Court, Camelford – Older persons housing scheme
- Wyndhurst Orchard, Wadebridge – Older persons housing scheme
- Bederkesa Court, Bodmin – Older persons housing scheme
- Rosevallon Gardens, Midway Road, Bodmin – Older persons housing scheme
West
- Chy Nampara, Falmouth – Older persons housing scheme
- Diana Close, Falmouth – Older persons housing scheme
- Tragear Flats, Falmouth – Older persons housing scheme
- Crow’s Nest, Penzance – Supported housing for residents with an assessed learning disability (with on-site support provision)
- White Close, St Agnes – Enhanced Supported Living for older people with care and support needs
- Saffron Gardens, St Agnes – Bungalows allocated to older people

- Polruan Hostel, Truro – Temporary accommodation for families experiencing homelessness
What to expect from this service
Older persons housing schemes
We are currently transforming the service we provide within our older persons schemes, with a greater focus on:
- Tenancy management
- Strengthening partnerships
- Supporting residents independence and wellbeing
Each scheme will benefit from:
- A dedicated Scheme Coordinator/Officer providing a visible presence
- Support to help residents remain independent and stay well
- Encouragement of resident-led activities
- Scheme Caretaker support, including grounds maintenance and small DIY assistance
This enhanced service began rolling out on 1 April 2026 in the South East and North East. We plan to engage with residents in the West later in 2026 regarding future service options.
In addition, all homes in older persons housing schemes are fitted with a Lifeline alarm system, providing:
- 24-hour access to a monitoring centre
- Increased safety and reassurance
- Support to enable independent living
This service is delivered in partnership with Corserv Care, with calls handled at their Truro-based monitoring centre.
Polruan Hostel (Temporary Accommodation)
We provide tailored support to families, including:
- Budgeting and benefits advice
- Housing applications
- Access to mental and physical health services
- Support with schooling and children’s services
- Access to wider support networks
Enhanced supported living for older people
At Whites Close, we deliver enhanced supported living for residents with care and support needs.
We work closely with:
- On-site care providers
- Partner agencies
This ensures residents receive coordinated support for their housing, care, and wellbeing needs.
Supported housing (Learning Disability Services)
At Crow’s Nest, Hendra Parc, and Pellymounter Road, we provide supported housing for adults with an assessed learning disability.
We work in close partnership with:
- On-site care providers
- Key partner organisations
This collaborative approach ensures residents’ housing, care, and support needs are fully met.
