It’s good electrical safety practice to register your new and any old appliances. This will ensure you are notified if they have any defects.
The Register My Appliance website makes it easy to register all of your electrical products. If the product is registered and there is an appliance recall, you will be contacted by the manufacturer. To register, you will need the brand name, model, serial number, and the purchase date (the approximate day, month and year will do).
The registration process is very easy to follow, just go to the Register my Appliance website.
The manufacturer will only contact you in the event of a recall of your appliance model. Your details will not be used for marketing purposes.
If you choose not to register your appliance, you can still use the website to search to see if your appliance has been recalled for any reason in the past.
