The project has been made possible through partnership working between Torpoint Town Council, the local Neighbourhood Police team and Cornwall Housing. Torpoint Town Council successfully secured £10,000 funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner to help launch the initiative, demonstrating a shared commitment to tackling local issues and improving neighbourhood safety.
Cornwall Housing has also committed an additional £1,520.70 to enable the installation to move forward. Importantly, these costs will not be passed on to tenants or leaseholders. Torpoint Town Council has further agreed to support the ongoing internet connection costs for the system.

Torpoint Town Council will retain ownership of the CCTV system and act as Data Controller. Cornwall Housing fully supports the installation on the buildings it manages and is proud to be working collaboratively with local partners to deliver positive improvements for the community.
