If your gas boiler stops working in freezing temperatures:
Check if your condensate pipe is frozen - look for an outdoor pipe connected to your boiler. It is usually made of white plastic and connects to an external drain or downpipe/drainpipe..
If it is frozen, this can easily be resolved without an engineer. You’ll just need to pour some warm water over it to unfreeze it. Be careful not to use boiling water. Reset your boiler and it should start working again.
If the pipe is not frozen, call us on 0300 1234 161 and our team will explore the error message on your boiler with you.
