We want to work with tenants to create a great housing service. It is important to us that tenants have a say in monitoring Cornwall Housing services. By joining our Monitoring and Governance Panel and giving feedback, you’ll help influence the Council’s policies.

Monitoring and Governance Panel

The Monitoring and Governance Panel aims to act in the interests of all residents to monitor, investigate, challenge, and hold Cornwall Housing to account.

"The MGP will concentrate on monitoring how CHL performs. We will review data CHL must share with residents, such as Tenant Satisfaction Measures, and speak with CHL and Cornwall Council officers, repair contractors, and residents to get a full and balanced view. Our findings will be written into reports for CHL/CC management and shared publicly with residents.Our aim is to be open, proactive, and work closely with CHL and the Council to improve housing services and ensure accountability." How often do we meet?

The Monitoring and Governance Panel meet regularly throughout the year at Chy Trevail in Bodmin (you can also join our meetings online through Microsoft Teams). We usually have 4 full Tenants' Forum meetings a year and other ad-hoc meetings as and when required for other items for discussion/feedback.

What do we do?

We represent the wider tenant body of Cornwall Housing, holding the company to account and ensuring tenants' voices are heard. We work with Cornwall Housing to monitor their performance and get involved in any changes to services/policies or procedures that may cause an impact for customers. We feedback and challenge when felt necessary and sometimes represent Cornwall Housing residents when feeding back to national housing challenges/surveys also.
